Colourful Bathroom in Ashington, West Sussex

To achieve the vibrant look favoured from the outset, dimpled pink tiling has been utilised at half-height around the room with the top half of the room painted white and a feature wall wallpapered with a bright print.

The design places a furniture unit from British bathroom furniture maker Calypso in the corner of the room, which is enhanced with a curved integrated basin crafted to suit this Levanto unit. The Fir Green finish teams well with the brightness of the pink, and to achieve a contemporary look. Matt Black brassware has been also opted for around the room, and this has been chosen from brassware specialist Aqualla.

A double-ended bath is the centrepiece of this space, as per the client’s initial brief. This curved Essence model from manufacturer Imex fits perfectly beneath the window of the room, with a floorstanding bath filler installed close by to complete the freestanding bath look. At the opposite end of the bath a storage niche has been created in a built-out section, doubling to conceal sanitaryware and also provide a decorative niche and storage shelf above.

To complete the contemporary look the client also chose to replace flooring, opting for a grey stone look Karndean finish.
