Bright En-Suite Bathroom in Horsham, West Sussex

This local Horsham client required a light en-suite theme, with pops of colour incorporated in the form of bright blue furniture.

The Brief

This project aimed to turn a dated Victorian en-suite into a spacious sanctuary with an overall light and bright feel. The client wished to remove a bath from this space replacing it with a large shower area for indulging.

The previous space was a stark and white, so the whilst the client wished to keep the room looking bright, they also sought to include some more appealing design elements with the occasional pop of colour.

Design Elements

As requested, the bright theme has been maintained with several light grey elements used to create interest within the design. Upon the walls gloss tiles named Moon and Moon Fields have been used to include subtle colour. Another grey design element is the Grey Riven Slate flooring from supplier Karndean, which creates a traditional, yet warm to touch, flooring look.

A pop of colour has been included in the form of two Petrol coloured storage units from a British supplier. One is equipped with a basin and tap, and the other adds extra storage to the en-suite plus a nice decorative space.

The design includes a built-out area upon the rear wall with a shelf built atop to store any decorative items. Concealed sanitaryware has also been installed within this space. The addition of this void as part of the design also creates space for a storage niche within the shower which can be used to store any daily essentials.

A HiB Globe illuminating and demisting mirror has been installed for the client.

Special Inclusions

The now shower room includes a spacious and indulgent shower area which is placed into the corner of the room. This has been created by combining a Crosswater Creo shower tray with Crosswater’s Infinity 8 shower screen.

The shower space is further enhanced by the inclusion of a Aqualisa Optic Q digital shower system. This dial is installed at the entrance of the shower and gives the client the option to control temperature, flow rate, as well as saving personalised preferences for each person in the home.

Project Highlight

The oversized and spacious shower area is our highlight of this project.

A variation of grey tiles add extra interest to the design here, and the inclusion of a Optic Q digital shower system adds a further indulgent element to this soothing shower room.

The End Result

A subtle grey design and a spacious layout were the key to this project, which involves some nice personal inclusions like the Q Optic digital shower system and HiB illuminating mirror.
