The specification for this project was one to compliment the existing features in this Warnham home.
Victorian features were sought to be used in tandem with modern conveniences, in addition to a monochorome and nicely balanced theme.
Without the need for any furniture in this space, designer George has incorporated the Victorian theme throughout coloured or styled ceramics, brassware and choice of shower enclosure. In addition, this client’s own legged bath features as a focal point for the room, positioned beneath the window.
The challenge in this design was balancing the theme, so it was not too overpowering with black accents. Geometric floor tiling suits the space, with plain white wall tiles used elsewhere in the bathroom. A spacious shower enclosure has been used in a matt black finish, to offer room to relax, whilst in keeping with the style.
To add a warming element to the design, walnut finished brassware has been used in the form of basin pillar taps and a bath filler. Within the shower Burlington black accented brassware has been utilised in addition to in-shower accessories.
The highlight of this space is one of the modern conveniences, a HiB illuminating mirror.
With an in keeping black frame, this mirror keeps within the Victorian style, whilst also including demisting and vibrant illuminating capability.
The lasting impression of this project is a well-designed and thoroughly thought-out bathroom, which combines discrete accents and subtle inclusions. The modern conveniences incorporated are sure to make this bathroom a relaxing space.
