Sparkling Bathroom in Warnham, West Sussex

A contemporary grey theme is elevated with sparkling and mirrored accents in this walk-in shower and bathing space.

The Brief

This client located in Warnham near Horsham required a rethink of their bathroom space to include indulgent showering and bathing areas. The theme needed to be fit for everyday use, with touches of luxury to aid relaxing and add ambience to the space.

Part of the project included the removal of an airing cupboard located off the hallway and into the new bathroom space – maximising the footprint of the bathroom for a clever new layout.

Design Elements

With the ancillary work undertaken, several great design elements have combined in the new space to create this sparkling and soothing final look.

A mid-grey stone tile is used as the main finish in this theme, with accessories and leafy plants adding plenty of interest to the space. The design is split across two levels, with showering and bathing areas placed upon a platform to create a feeling of separation within the design. Underfloor heating has also been installed as part of this project.

In keeping with the grey stone look, a British furniture unit has been chosen in a stone finish to incorporate plentiful storage. A British Vado basin mixer sits atop this unit, and matching brassware has been used throughout the design, including in the shower and the floorstanding bath filler.

Special Inclusions

A freestanding bath was a key requirement of the client, and so a Adamsez Sorrento double-ended option has been placed upon the podium. This indulgent bathing choice is enhanced with three ambient pendant lights installed above and the clients own glitzy mirror.

The walk-in showering area is roomy and equipped with a storage niche and downlight, which have also been installed at the entry to the room above sanitaryware. These add further storage to the design and are also nice areas for the client to store decorative items.

Project Highlight

The bathing area is the fantastic highlight of this space, it has been designed to be a super-indulgent place to unwind and enhanced with ambient lighting.

A bath filler completes the floorstanding bath look, and is chosen in a chrome finish to suit the style of this project.

The End Result

Clever alterations to this bathroom space, and the removal of an airing cupboard by our installers made this new layout and inventive design possible. The design combines sparkling elements, spacious showering and bathing areas, and indulgent special inclusions to achieve the client’s ambitions for this space.
