Three subtle tile choices combine in this bright and relaxing bathroom space in the Tower Hill area of Horsham.

The Brief

This client required a modernisation of their previous en-suite, with an overall spacious design and indulgent areas for showering and bathing.

The theme needed to tie in with period property features and had to remain light and bright, with pastel colours favoured from early project conversations.

 

Design Elements

The design combines a spacious layout with multiple subtle tile choices, and indulgent areas for showering and bathing.

A shower has been placed in the alcove of the room, which uses a Crosswater Creo enclosure and tray components as well as Vado brassware. The bathing space has been installed aside from the shower and is almost two metres in length – matching chrome brassware from supplier Vado has been used here too.

British fitted furniture has also been installed and combines dual semi-recessed basins with cupboard storage and matching brassware. This furniture is a classic shaker option which has been used here in a matt effect finish named Pumice. Above a mirror has been hung and feature downlights have been installed either side to create a classic vanity unit look.

Special Inclusions

Playful colour combinations keep this design feeling bright whilst adding subtle splashes of colour. Flower patterned floor tiles have been teamed nicely with an earthy wall tile and a blue feature tile has been used to conceal the sanitaryware cistern.

Clever storage niches have been integrated into the design to store everyday essentials. One of these is within the shower enclosure and the other two are just above the sanitaryware.

Project Highlight

The blue tiled area is the highlight of this space.

Not only does it conceal the sanitaryware cistern, but the colour adds a vibrant element to the design and creates a space for the client to store decorative items.

The End Result

This project combines colourful finishes, spacious areas to indulge, and a classic storage option to achieve every element of the initial project brief. Clever ideas within the design like practical storage niches add useful everyday functionality.
