The brief for this Angmering project required a versatile design and layout. In a family-orientated home, social and entertaining areas were of importance, whilst a sweeping passage through to the garden area was also an important design element.
A key consideration was lighting, with a reflective theme preferrable to enhance natural light throughout the room. Useful appliance choices and homely decorative areas were also sought to create a functioning space for the family, as well as storage for pertinent items.
To accomplish the multi-functional brief of this space, designer Phil has included several unique design elements.
A theme of high-gloss German furniture has been chosen, with satin grey and slate grey furniture used in tandem with nicely placed copper accents. To ensure suitable space for entertaining family and friends, a six-seater island is included, which is positioned adjacent to a vast bank of appliances which will also be useful for entertaining.
Within this bank, Neff cooking appliances are used, with two single ovens and a combination microwave specified. Full-height refrigerator and freezer provide ample cold storage, in addition to a built-in Caple wine cabinet. A scarce copper accent is used in the form of the Elica extractor hood, which is positioned over a Siemens flexInduction hob, chosen in a unique stainless steel glass finish.
A Quooker tap also features over a durable composite sink for instant 100°C boiling water.
A decorative and homely inclusion sought by this client was a feature decorative area, with storage for pertinent items.
To achieve this, designer Phil has incorporated glass wall units for storage, which also nicely frame a TV below. To remain consistent with the rest of the kitchen, quartz work sufaces from Caesarstone have been used in the sparkling Montblanc finish, as well as a unique printed glass splashback.
The highlight of this project is the copper accents used as part of the design theme.
These have been used across a feature extractor hood and pendant lighting fitted by our installation team, as well as this client’s own subtle decorations.
The outcome of this project is a sweeping kitchen that delivers on all elements of the brief, with a subtle, accented theme that is functional in various ways for this client. The installation of this project was undertaken solely by our in-house team, including all lighting, flooring and fitting.
