The Brief

This client from Broadbridge Heath near Horsham required a design & supply only service for the shower room part of an extension taking place at their property.

Working from architect plans designer Martin was tasked with creating a well-thought-out layout to ensure the room felt as spacious as possible. Naturally, the style was an important part of the brief too, with the client favouring a spa-like and unique design.

Design Elements

As requested, designer Martin has conjured a smart design to make the most of the available space. The placement of the furniture unit, sanitaryware and then shower in the alcove of the room left plenty of remaining floor space to contribute to the spacious feel.

The most eye-catching part of this bathroom is the tile combination, with a Natural grey tile used with a complimenting Mint Oxide colour on the shower wall.

Special Inclusions

To keep within the contemporary style of the space designer Martin has specified a double-drawer unit from Pelipal in a Metallic Glass finish. This particular unit makes use of high-spec acrylic fronted drawers and integrated handle operation.

A matching mirored unit has also been included, which includes an overhead LED light and decorative storage shelf.

To further add to the contemporary theme Martin has incorporated Matt Black brassware across the basin and shower area which is matched with a Roman shower enclosure in the same finish.

Project Highlight

To make the most of every inch of space Martin also specified two niches in the room, either for added decorative or storage space.

The niche in the shower uses the Mint Oxide tile as a nice accent, whilst the other niche has an ambient LED downlight integrated.

The End Result

The result is a wonderful bathroom theme that delivers the contemporary and well-thought-out design that the client required. As a design & supply only project (also designed from architect’s plans), it highlights the fantastic results that can be achieved using this alternative.
